Payment Integration
Integration of payment gateways is achievable via APIs, off-platform.
Currently, ED does not offer a built-in payment gateway option. To achieve this:
It will take 2 - 3 months to develop a robust framework to handle the dynamics of In-app subscriptions. This includes required webhooks, APIs, docs, and receipt verification.
It is very likely that in-app subscriptions will be reserved for dedicated tiers due to the very nature of how in-app subscriptions work from server to server.
There is a lot of manual setup involved, that can be documented but would need implementation from a technical person.
This excludes the solution to web app payments. Stripe would be the gateway of choice because of developer tooling, but in SA, we currently only have access to payment gateways that are not to great with dynamic integration.
