Review Process

Apple Review

The apple review process is strict and will be carried out by humans. If you follow Apple's guidelines you should have a smooth review. However, sometimes you will be asked for more information or receive a rejection due to a misunderstanding of a feature.

When this occurs, it's good etiquette to be polite and concise. The Apple review team has to review 1000s of submissions per day and when they have a query or feel there is a need to reject the submission, there is probably a justified reason for it.

To make your submission as smooth as possible we recommend that you follow these additional tips beyond Apple's app store guidelines:

Monetisation. If your app is not using in-app purchases or subscriptions be clear that content is provided free of charge.

App Previews. Do not upload previews that do not demonstrate core features of the app.

Podcast Features. If your app uses podcasts, ensure to provide access to the review team so they can observe this feature during review. Sometimes you will be asked to provide a video demo of this feature in use.

Published Content. Do not have dummy content published for review and make sure the review team can view sufficient content. To give the review team access to content that has targeting make sure to include apple@everydaydigital.co.za in your group targeting.

Audience. If your app is for limited companies or partners, you should distribute through Apple Business Manager.

Review Times. Apple review takes 0 - 2 days.
