When are Pathway notifications sent?

Pathway notifications are sent as email notifications and/or push notifications on a pathway. Refer to the tables below to understand when different pathway notifications are sent.

Pathway content update notifications

Pathway content update notifications are sent to users when there is new or updated content on a pathway.

Pathway Published	Sent when a pathway is published.	Email notification
Pathway Updated	Sent when a pathway is updated (by adding a new activity/making a change) and re-published.	Email notification to users who have started the pathway and/or enrolled for a pathway.
Content Published	Sent when any new content (Story, Article) is published.	Email notification
Content Updated	Sent when any content (Story, Article) is updated. receive the email notification sent to the user.	Email notification to users who have started the learning story.
Stream Published	Sent when a new Stream is published.	Email notification
New Episode Added	Sent when a new Episode is released to a Stream that has been subscribed to.	Email notification

Booking notifications

Booking notifications are sent to users if they register to attend an event on a pathway.

Event Attendance Confirmation	Sent when a user registers for an event.	Email notification
Event Reminder	Sent either on the app or via email when the event is about to start.	Email notification & Push notification (if enabled)
Event Change	Sent when a change has been made to the event details.	Email notification

Event Cancellation	Sent when an event that a user has registered for is cancelled.	Email notification

Award notifications

Award notifications are sent to users when they earn a badge, reward, or certificate on a pathway.

Pathway date notifications

Pathway date notifications are sent throughout a pathway as time-sensitive activities occur.

Enrolled on Pathway	Sent when a user enrolls for a pathway that requires enrollment / has enrollment dates.	Email notification
Pathway Started	Sent when a pathway is first started.	Email notification
Pathway Nearly Ending	Sent when a pathway (with a start and end date) is ending in 7 days from today.	Email notification
Pathway Ends Tomorrow	Sent when a pathway (with a start and end date) is ending 1 day from today.	Email notification
Pathway Ended	Sent when a pathway has ended.	Email notification
Pathway Changed	Sent when a pathway has been updated.

If targeting groups, only users in those groups are notified. Notifications can be disabled when publishing.

How are Pathway Notifications sent?

Notifications are sent as push notifications and/or email notifications.

Pathway Notification Options

Admins can be notified when bookings are confirmed, when confirmation activities are uploaded, and when rewards have been awarded.

Enrolments Notifies selected admins when a user enrols on a Pathway.

Bookings Notifies selected admins when a user registers their attendance to an event or classroom activity.

Uploads Notifies selected admins when users submit uploads to a Pathway activity.

Rewards Notifies selected admins when the user unlocks a reward on a Pathway.

How to use

1. Open the Pathway Editor on a selected Pathway.
2. Navigate to Notifications.

3. Select which of the admins must be notified for Bookings, Uploads, and Rewards.

Pathway Nudge Notifications

Apply a time limit to activity rows. The activities will need to be completed within the specified time, and users will be reminded of the deadline by app push & email notifications.

Quick Steps: How to Add a Nudge Notification

1. Open a Pathway.

2. Open the Pathway Editor and select the bell icon to Add Nudge Notification.

3. Adjust the Nudge Settings as needed.

4. Publish the Pathway.

Nudge Settings

Time Limit Set the number of days users are given to complete activities in a row.

Restart Action Choose which activities will need to be restarted if a user does not complete them in time:

• All Row Activities

• All Level Activities

• All Pathway Activities

Logs, progress, and results will be cleared and reset according to the Restart Action.
