# Publish Streams

**To publish** [**Streams**](https://everyday-digital.gitbook.io/streams-docs/)**, the** [**Listing**](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/listing.md)**,** [**Theme & Assets**](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/theme-and-assets.md)**, and** [**Targeting**](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/targeting.md) **must be defined.**&#x20;

## **How to publish a Stream**

1. Create a [Stream](https://everyday-digital.gitbook.io/streams-docs/) and add at least one episode to the Stream.
2. Create a [Listing](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/listing.md).
3. Set the [Theme & Assets](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/theme-and-assets.md).
4. Select the [Targeting](/publishing-docs/publishing-options/targeting.md) options.
5. **Publish.** Once the Listing, Theme & Assets, and Targeting have been defined, select STREAMS from the top menu and then select PUBLISH.&#x20;

**Streams do not need to be re-published when you make changes.** Any new episodes that you add will be auto-published. Subscribed users will be notified.

## Publish to Pathway only

**When you create content in Streams you can choose to Publish to Pathway Only.** This means that the content will not be published to the app as stand-alone content, but can only be accessed in a Pathway.
