# Event Activity

**Use the Event Activity to host a webinar or an on-location event**. Event attendance can be managed in [Events/Classroom](/pathways-docs/pathway-editor/events-classroom.md).

## How to create an Event Activity

1. **Open a Pathway.**
2. **Select the + icon and then select Event.** 
3. **Add an Event Name.** Name the activity (this will appear on the Pathway).
4. **Activity Locations & Times.** Select the + button to add one or more events. 
5. **Event type:** Choose Location if the event is hosted at a physical location, or choose Webinar if the event is virtual.
6. **Add a short snippet.** Write a short description of the Event that will be visible on the Pathway for desktop and tablet only (max. 90 characters).
7. **Write a description.** Write a longer description of the Event that is visible once a user selects the Pathway tile on mobile, desktop and tablet.
8. **Activity Settings.** Choose whether the activity is required (activity must be fulfilled in order to proceed) or optional (can be skipped).
9. **Save.**

## How are Event Activities Fulfilled?

Users must Check-In to an event on the app in order to fulfill the activity.
