Terminology used in the Everyday world.

TL;DR

Everyday Digital (ED) licences its proprietary technology, which can be customised into multiple platform iterations.

ED - the Licensor & Platform Provider - maintains, manages and develops its SaaS platforms & infrastructure. As the platform developers, ED provides necessary and updates, elective enhancements, and technical consulting. ED grants Authorised Seller and Licensee status to selected channel partners.

Licensees operate a branded Enterprise account with the authorisation to sell Tenancy & Enterprise Subscriptions from their account. Licensees sell and support the customers/platform subscribers on their instance.

Authorised Sellers are permitted to provide Tenancy Subscriptions on a Licensee or Licensor's Enterprise account.

Enterprise accounts inherit an iteration of the Licensee/Licensor platform with the ability to create multiple accounts on that platform, within a dedicated environment.

Subscribers are customers with a platform account and platform app offered, operated, and supported by either the Licensor, Licensee or Authorised Seller.

ED

Everyday Digital Pty (Ltd) (“Everyday”, “we”, “ED”) is a licensor of its technology that can be distributed as iterations.

Platform / Product

ED technology iterations are referred to as a “Platform” or "Product", interchangeably. ED Platforms are always built using Everyday’s core technology, source code, and proprietary framework; they can be replicas of existing solutions, modified versions, or a combination of both existing and newly developed features.

Licence / Licensee

ED offers a licence to sell platform accounts (Enterprise, Enterprise+, and Tenancy Accounts). The Licensee is a direct customer of Everyday - mandated to provide, operate, sell licenses of use to Sub-Licensees, and to support their platform users.

A Licensee operates their own Enterprise account (at preferential rates).

A Licensee independently markets to, sells to, services, and contracts with its customers and users.

Licensees enjoy benefits such as direct access to ED's Support Team and the annual submission of preferred feature requests.

Enterprise Account (Sub-Licensee)

Enterprise/Enterprise+ accounts are a direct customer of a Licensee, and may be mandated to operate a platform iteration with a licence to sell Tenancies and/or operate multiple accounts. In some instances, Enterprise accounts are mandated to operate a platform iteration with a licence to sell Tenancies.

An Enterprise Account inherits a carbon copy of the Licensee's/Sub-Licensee's platform iteration. An Enterprise Account (if so mandated) may have its own customers, and has the ability to set up multiple tenancies.

Sub-Licensees - mandated by Licensees - must operate in adherence to the terms of the Licensee Mandate Agreement.

Tenant / Tenancy Account

A Tenancy Account is a customer of a Licensee or Sub-Licensee's platform iteration with a licence of use to make use of such an account. Typically, this includes platform access (feature access may vary), as well as a branded app (native and/or web app/s).

Appointed Provider

Any third party person or entity, approved and appointed by the Platform Operator, to whom access to and/or Platform usage is granted in order to provide ancillary services, and/or access and process Platform user account information.

Platform Operator

The Licensee/Sub-Licensee is a Platform Operator. The Operator's role is to receive and handle support queries from Subscribers, and to deliver any support services agreed upon.

Platform Provider

As the platform licensor, development team and platform creators, Everyday Digital (Pty) Ltd. is the Platform Provider, taking on the roles of platform maintenance, updates and core feature development. In some instances, Everyday Digital may take on the roles of both Provider and Operator.

Platform Subscriber/Customer

The Subscriber/Customer is a platform account holder and a customer of the Platform Operator. The Subscriber has an internal support role to gain product knowledge, manage team queries, and to support end-users who access the Subscriber's app(s) and may also submit support queries directly to the Subscriber.

Technology

Means proprietary technology, frameworks, software and Platforms, and related services and process, as developed by ED.

User

Means any User of the platform, app and/or its technology; anyone who submits personal information through ED technology and/or is processing such personal information in connection with the use of ED technologies.
